Saying it over and over doesn't make it so. I can't even hear the phone ring over my music when I'm working so why would something that barely registers when there is complete silence be a problem? It just doesn't make any sense.

My point about the fan wasn’t even about the noise, although the silence is nice. If the fan never spins up, then why spend the additional $300 for the “Pro” when the Air performs just as well, unless you think 2 extra hours of battery life, a slightly brighter screen and the Touch Bar are worth it. From my experience over the past 5 months, music production alone just never seems to pushes it hard enough to engage the fan. If I run Cinebench continually for 20+ minutes, then yes, the fan will eventually start to spin up. I just haven’t seen that happen in a DAW yet, even with heavy projects.
