but what is the second (thinner)line of the envelope in the first screenshot?

It shows what the env does when it loops back to its first loop segment. It was already here in previous versions, with a dashed line. This dashed line didn't look to good with antialias, and is now displayed with a different shade.
As for why it's not here in the second screenshot, it's because I didn't have the preset used to make the first one, so I quickly did a fake one
