Want vst to slow piano attack

I have a live piano performance and want to soften the attack time ie make the attack much slower and not as percussive. Has to be triggered by the sound itself as the piano is not synced to a regular metre.
Any ideas?
I feel as though I must have something already to do this, but i cant think of it if I do. Dont think a compressor will do this and all the transient shapers I look at are advertised to increase punch rather tan change the envelope to make it softer

most transient shapers can do both
Transient shaper, compressor, simple lowpass filter whose frequency is triggered by an envelope follower.

AtomicTransient from Molecular Bytes is THE piano transient tool, because it treats every note independently which cleans and focuses the whole piano track.
But sorry, not a freebie.

I have never used one before so I don't know if any of these are the kind of thing you are looking for but...

thanks for all the responses - Now that I have followed up on all of these I have learnt more and think I have described my issue incorrectly so will make another post

Melodyne Studio's Sound Editor mode can manipulate amplitude per note detected. Synth tab > Amplitude.

+1 most good transient shapers can soften the attack transient as well.

Just yesterday I was trying to find another plugin in my list that could do that (trying to reduce the amount of plugins that I have installed), and i couldn't. And today you just ask for that. What a coincidence.
