Electronic music is what i usually say.
Although i like some of it, i somewhat consider EDM a scourge in that it has caused the average listener to think that all electronic music is EDM. I have had to explain and show so many people that there has been electronic music for about 100 years and much of it doesn’t have a 4/4 beat (or any beat at all).
