Really? I can't say I've ever had to zoom out so far and if it ends up like you've shown, I can't think of a reason I would.ozinga wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 6:58 amWhat do you mean? Both S1 and Cubase show nothing on regions at this size and shows more or less the same things when tracks are larger (Waveform, notes overview, fade points, clip gain etc)

Yes I agree. They could make them small buttons with symbols instead.dellboy wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 9:49 amI just logged in and up voted your request.antic604 wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:29 am Since we're offtopic anyway, can you guys please upvote my FR even if it doesn't concern you?

I personally don't like icons with no labels. Having to remember what an icon means is a PITA imo. That being said they could maybe refactor that section a bit. I kind of like how songs are represented as tabs in Bitwig, that would be nice to have in S1. They they can just make the Project and Show Page a menu item. I don't think I've ever moved from Song to Project enough to warrant a whole section of the UI to do that. So they could put those in a drop down menu and leave the Song button.

Sure. They should just have some toggles somewhere (in top drop-down menus, or in Options) which icons we want to see.apoclypse wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 1:31 pmEnGee wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 10:56 amYes I agree. The reason I ask your resolution is so I can create a solution for you, unless you want to do it yourself... Using this great free utility, Custom Desktop Logo 2 that sits in your taskbar you can hide whatever you want in Studio One. So you can easy hide those buttons, every time you run this utility. You just set up the positioning once and it will keep that setting every time you run it.antic604 wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:09 amI just want to hide those buttons. What does screen resolution has to do with this? I know I can change resolution and/or scaling and S1 will then display the full toolbar. The point is, if it decides to prioritise what's visible at lower resolution / higher scaling, then it should hide those useless buttons rather than tools one uses all the time.THE INTRANCER wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 10:41 pmI know how to do that...What screen resolution are you using ?antic604 wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:29 am Since we're offtopic anyway, can you guys please upvote my FR even if it doesn't concern you?

Bitwig and FL Studio both let you easily customise what buttons are visible on the top bar, its a useful feature.

Yeah but, it's the best solution you have available on Windows because there is no script to do what you want, and Presonus will never do what you want in removing those buttons from view vie any options because they are key function buttons of the app whether you want them in view or not.
As in my other thread below here, you can completely change how Studio One looks and feels pretty much whilst keeping functionality of the program.

How are they more "key" than the automation/parameter window that one uses constantly? It's just a design oversight. Actually very similar to the Track Inspector panel, that - on small screens - requires constant adjusting of what's visible, because some moron thoughs it's a good idea to have it composed out of three separately scaleable areas, instead of one, that's continuous and scrollableTHE INTRANCER wrote: Fri Jul 02, 2021 6:24 pmYeah but, it's the best solution you have available on Windows because there is no script to do what you want, and Presonus will never do what you want in removing those buttons from view vie any options because they are key function buttons of the app whether you want them in view or not.
It's like it never occurred to them people work on screens smaller than 1440p or something...

Well they are top level navigation buttons. You wouldn't be able to navigate from the Start page to begin with to get to the song page for example. Hiding that navigation in a menu would be really annoying I would imagine for everyone. Studio One's GUI is rather standard, rather than taking a modular approach like Cakewalk, but you do at least have ways to hide much of what you don't want to see by other means. There is something else I discovered recently though in that you can change plugins which employ OpenGL3.0. You assign Studio One's exe which is a bit like a hack...antic604 wrote: Sat Jul 03, 2021 6:09 amHow are they more "key" than the automation/parameter window that one uses constantly? See here.
Can you change Studio One in anyway.. well that remains unexplored, at least in my testing.

It's "key" marketing not features! In Artist edition, there is no show page or project but an "upgrade" button.antic604 wrote: Sat Jul 03, 2021 6:09 amHow are they more "key" than the automation/parameter window that one uses constantly? I still believe Logic did it better with icons, like the clips launcher icon.
