Can't really say, not being too well up on the 80s funk. Surely they must be near the top of the outfits/dancing league though? Impressive.

Change wasn't really a proper band. Some Italian producers would fly in various top American R&B session players to Italy to make the records.
That "great live" video would be greater and liver if the instruments were actually plugged in instead of the band obviously miming.

ZAPP/Roger Troutman, The Gap Band and Cameo (their early stuff is great and still love the later more popular music they put out) would be at the top of my picks for the 80s. Change had some great and very catchy songs though. So much great funk/R&B music from that time.
