The main module is only 10HP, but you can kit it out with expanders. My Mk1 setup, with all the Music Thing expanders (VactrolMix = 'random mixer', Pulses = individual gate outputs, Voltages = individual CV outs) comes to 36HP(*) in total but you dont actually need all of them...

(* eventually plus 4HP for a Bytes module but you dont need that for a Mk2 TM.)

The MKII with expanders, Volts and Pulses comes out to 20hp and if you add in the VactrolMix, it brings the total to 30hp.

I have to watch more videos... This setup looks like crazy fun. I didn't get a chance to see the VactrolMix yet and I kept missing how you "lock" a pattern in (multi-tasking at the moment).

I added a new 48hp pod to modulargrid for this (and it's a good place to pop in the magnetophon that's been haunting me).

im wary of adding more space at the minute. with the extra charges on many things, not sure i want to have an empty rack to look at for as long as it would take to fill one now

Yeah, Volts is a cutdown Voltages at 4HP rather than 12Hp.

I've been looking at the Herbs and Stones Liquid Foam, something of an alternative to the turing machine, though also just weird and interesting in it own right. A full-voice 32 hp module in eurorack. Kind of cool and unusual

I keep wanting to get a Noisering again too. It was one of my favorite stepped modulation generators (only sold it to fund my Shared System).

I'm looking to get a Motu Ultralite Mk5, is there anything better in that £500-£600 range ? I know there's the RME Babyface for around the same price but it doesn't have the on board I/O I want, I could "manage" with the I/O it offers though it just requires more effort, so do you guys think the RME drivers & latency are worth the sacrifice over the Motu ?

No, but, you can't really go wrong with either of these, if it is meeting your needs. [2c]

Looks good. I’ve been looking at the MOTU 828es which is around the £870 mark, but I’m going to get a full rack so prefer the form factor and I like it has 2 sets of ADAT ins/outs as it gives loads of spare capacity.

Also noticed this, but I don’t have funds yet so inevitably someone will snaffle it soon…

about 15 years ago I posted a piece called 'scrape' done from one sample of a squeaky door, so im on your side on that one....

Hopefully I'll get a Dreadbox Nyx V1 if I ever find one for sale and a Sequential Prophet 6 if I save up enough dough to buy it.

I should have never started looking into hardware synths.
