LOL! This is one of those times when I'm just going to plug my ears and ignore the hipsters. Don't care, love that sound.

:hihi:

Didn't there used to be a plugin emulation to get "that" sound? Can't think of the name atm ..

Why do people ask how to get a sound that has the process in the name? Can somebody tell me how to get that 1/4 note delay sound?

SSL really needs to add a gate to the LMC+ to make it complete.

A legend of drum sounds.
His "Lamb" kit unparalleled and then he invented the 80's sound with the gated reverb.

Only Copeland could compare.

That's what I miss about the 70's.

Unique drum sounds.

Everything has all sort of gone in one direction now.

Big low thuddy tones.

I miss those open jazz tones.

Don't get me started on drum machines, the sound of stale take away food in a shopping mall just before closing time.

I bought the SSL LMC+ when it was released because I missed the old free 32-bit LMC-1 plugin.

But I’ve never really been able to get a satisfactory sound from it. But Eventide Omnipressor is perfect for the task.

I love the SSL LMC+, but I do find It’s missing that aggressive midrange from the 32-bit version.

Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
Patrick Bateman?
