I have to say Reason looks amazing, I have it at 120% on a 4K and its pin sharp and inspiring to work with. I suspect Reason will get a lot of new users when V12 comes out...I cant imagen anyone not wanting the rack even if they are not bothered about the DAW (which again I worked with all day today with Kong drums, bass and guitar. The comping and audio editing is sublimely simple and fast, perfect for a one man band like me....nothing too clever, stuff just works as you would expect it to...tuner on the input- genius!)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Hmmm, 'Mimic' 'Creative' Sampler - sounds exactly like the type of thing I loveLotuz2019 wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 1:18 pmIt's called Mimic Creative Sampler. Tbh that part of the GUI showing the usual controls for a sampler doesn't excite me yet. But I am curious about the part they're not showing us. What will this sampler do that others don't?SLiC wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 12:58 pm I see a few people are posting snip s of the new sampler that was spotted in the rack in the launch video- looks pretty cool.
Hopefully it will be fast like a looper and fun to mangle stuff (Octotrack style?)...I like their direction and the last few releases have been suburb, so I have high hopes for this!

Do you have to load them manually? Have I missed something? I thought you could just resize and the hi-res GUI was loaded automatically?EnochLight wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 7:01 pm Me waiting for the high-res assets to load that very first time...

Tried out Reason again after quitting it sometime around Reason 2.5 and ... They don't even support double-click to reset knobs?
Which AFAIK every single major DAW has been doing for ages now.

It’s just CTRL + Click to reset knobs and faders, there’s no law that has double click same across all DAWsLiero wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:30 pm Tried out Reason again after quitting it sometime around Reason 2.5 and ... They don't even support double-click to reset knobs?![]()

I actually don't like double click reset. Has a tendency to accidentally be done.Liero wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:30 pm Tried out Reason again after quitting it sometime around Reason 2.5 and ... They don't even support double-click to reset knobs?![]()

Ctrl click is better for preventing issues imho

There is now, dammit, and it's called, "Liero's Law of DAWs."WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Jul 12, 2021 11:44 pm It’s just CTRL + Click to reset knobs and faders, there’s no law that has double click same across all DAWs
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I just used it- 3 months Reason+ Subscription for $3! It works, it is official - just enter '333' in the coupon code and get 3 months Reason+ for $3! (Note- when you are on the payment form you have to press enter on the 333 code to activate it or it wont be applied, once its applied it shows up as just $1 before you pay. GREAT DEAL (and I have 11 Studio perpetual)
I have heard it said before that any sound pack you download when you have Reason+ you can keep and continue to use with a perpetual Licence after you cancel Reason+!
Anyone care to confirm this (download frenzy about to start!)

I don't think any DAW manufacturer has ever worked harder to try and get you to switch DAWS, when I download a new sound pack, it automatically invites me to open it in the rack in 'Bitwig' and not Reason!

What a mess - seems like the implementation is super clunky for the hi res stuff yet they can't be doing too well with the reason + model if they are offering up this new deal. On reasontalk it sounds like the hi res addition to + subscribers is behind where the v12 beta is!
I loved this company for what they did for music making and technology but they seem decidedly amateurish these days. Perhaps they do just need to ditch the DAW. I sold my full fat v11 license a while back but still have 11 lite installed but I don't think I am am going to use it that much now just in case the mess more things up.

Mine will work for this month only by the look of it.MuzikFreq wrote: Tue Jul 13, 2021 8:40 am OH looky! a discount code I couldn't use 333 -_- REALLY RS?! REALLY?! Well I guess in the month I subbed for I'll check stuff out. Hoping the sampler comes soon
It says €19.99 will be removed from my account on next payment 13. Aug.
So if that is the case they can keep my €1 and i won't bother installing at all.
