Reaper + your own Linux distro is great way to spend even less time on music making and in endless tweaking.

I think the key to excitement is knowing your stock plugins well. For some obscure reason the dev put them in there. It's up to you to figure out what that reason was supposed to be all about.
Now.. if that is not exciting you, what is?

The key to excitement is to keep yourself excited. Nothing external in the world will be able to establish that for you, especially as the ability to get excited or not is highly depending on yourself.
That's the mistake I always do as well... thinking that another plugin will finally excite me enough to motivate me to get my sh*** together, and produce a track finally.
And, that's ultimately why I stopped buying any more plugins for the most part (there are exceptions, Pigments 3 was too good to pass, for example.
). It just doesn't make sense to buy any more stuff, when the problem is me, not the plugins.

Maybe they should make DAW Hero
...or Behringer could hire THE INTRANCER to help them with their new DAW?

Maybe that's what the OP needs?

I've renamed a drive encryption utility to dwwin.exe and moved it into system32, so if the DAW crashes it'll scramble my drive - Keeps me on my toes....

Get a head trauma, resulting in memory loss.
Then even Audacity will be an exciting DAW!
