Technically TAL Sampler qualifies.

However, its SFZ implementation (both loading and saving) is extremely limited - no overlapping regions, essentially nothing but basic sample region span definitions and volume.

Also, in my opinion the built in mapper in TAL Sampler is pretty clunky, so it wouldn’t be a whole lot more convenient than it would be coding the SFZ by hand.

You might have some success with the free, ancient (but still functional), Bjoerns Sample Mapper. It’s not fancy, but has some very clever functionality for batch importing samples and producing fairly complete SFZ instruments.
In fact, I sometimes use this for making temporary key maps that I then import into TAL Sampler, rather than mapping the samples inside TAL.

NewSonicArts Nuance exports SFZ.

There is an SFZ converter for the TX16Wx Software Sampler - https://www.kvraudio.com/product/tx2sfz-by-derknott

Here is a list of SFZ creation tools that might be helpful, too - https://sfzformat.com/software/tools

thanks - it's really only very basic mapping i'd need. all 3 halftones one sample.
the reason why i would prefer a sampler is, to hear how the samples fit in realtime, before i actually export to sfz.
so yeah, i'll have a look tal sampler. it:s a nice plugin anyway - i just haven't really demoed the mapping stuff extensively.

thank you. i briefly checked that site already, but a lot of the stuff seems to be unabaillable and most stuff is separate programs - like i said, i was hoping for a lightwheight vst sampler. :tu:
will have a look into tx16wx. i demoed it quite sometimes over the different versions, but it never really tickled me. never checked the sfz features...

thanks - will (yet again) have a look at it. :)
i would have bought it even long ago, if you would have had updated the vsti sampling updated. if you remember, we briefly had a conversation a few times back then on what i think could be improved. i'd buy it and ise it constantly for even just that feature. but as i wrote you per email back then, to me it misses some crucial features i'd mandatorily need in that regard...

We added some VSTi sampling enhancements in the upcoming 2.0 release that may fit the bill.
