How to make order in your samples for a sampler or another ?

I'm asking this because of a usual mistake i'm committing regulary by using the same sample folders for different instruments, a way to do that becomes unsensible if i ever wanted to sell some sound library and presets for one instrument or another

For instance, i'm currently thinking of creating a bunch of presets for Iris 2, using much of my own samples,( but likely also for Absynth 5, Kontakt, Omnisphere 2, Synclavier V, Backbone, and many drum samplers )

...any advice on that peculiar case to begin ?
