A McLeyvier emu! This was a 100 2-osc voice analogue synth built around a PDP LSI-11/23 minicomputer c1982. I had the pleasure of hearing and trying one out at a trade show in the day. Sounded amazing! It was primarily designed for orchestral composition and the sounds were as such, although anything would have been possible. Way ahead of it's time on the digital side. $30k fully decked out (~ $80k today ).

Yes, but what I really want is a sort of Frankensynth of all the classic Ensoniqs. Imagine a Fizmo but with SQ-80 filters and the waveforms. All the Transwaves. All the samples. Hyperwaves. I don’t know if it would be legal to take their ROM data as is, but I’d say that they could get in the ballpark on the side of legality and I’d be happy.

CS-80 rework is surely on the roadmap. Would be nice to have a JP-8000.

Andromeda - would be fantastic :phones:

I'd be interested if they did a re-work of the 2600 to Synthi quality.

CS-80 and 2600 could both use a graphics redo and sound redo. Jup-4 not only improved the sound but the look became much more clear as well.

Yamaha SY-99,definitely!
But I doubt Yamaha will license its AWM2 ROM...

Wouldn't a GDS/Synergy be much better (and filling a gap that currently exists - additive synthesis)?

Memorymoog V, PPG Wave V, AlphaSyntauri V, Matrix 1000 V. Updated engines to Mini V and Modular V and Prophet VS.

That would be my list of favourites. I did actually get Synthi V prediction right last time, but oh hum. Pretty happy with Arturia at the moment, although I've updated each collection since Collection 3, they have a lot of my moneys.

Interesting. Didn't know that. The site doesn't have that much information either :-(

I hope they don't stick to the GUI panel shown. It would be plainly stupid, and would ruin the instrument, IMO. A "computer display" for editing is somehow mandatory in this day and age.

There's this one by UVI:

I don’t understand the thought process behind the rompler predictions. You realize these companies own those sounds, right? Why would Korg or Roland license their libraries when they both currently have plugins on the market? The internet never ceases to amaze.
