For me, I'm personally waiting until the GUI's are implemented before I give the emulator a go. It feels better to wait, especially since the GUI will come for free, will be easier to use than the Mystery Island editors, and likely to come with a slew of CPU improvements with it

This CPU denormalization bug is unfortunately not fixed, it is even worse than before, even when no sound is generated the CPU/DSP fluctuates a lot and goes from 5-10% to over 50%. If I play a single note and the "init" sound, it quickly goes to 100%.
(Cubase 11, Windows 10, i7 3770)
[Edit]
I got it to run without CPU spikes after reloading the project. Is the ROM or other data stored inside the project, so is there some kind of caching when a project is reloaded?

Wow! I wouldn't call it "Small performance improvements". On my CPU - Ryzen 7 5800x plugin utilizes 3% of processing power - that's 100% lower! Regardless of used polyphony.

I’m sure this has been asked but is a GUI for the ROMs in the works? The idea of using a separate editor just seems like a workflow drag. But otherwise this sounds amazing.

Is the current version of the DSP563xxx-emu working with ROMs from Virus B?
I loaded it up in Cubase but it didn't tell me anything about what ROM was loaded or not (put in the same folder as the VST of course). VST plugin just gave me two choices: Single or Multi Mode, but neither could be selected (at least it didn't give any feedback in the GUI).
Edit: It does work, it's just that VST GUI does not present any details about what ROM it loaded.

It doesnt display information on which ROM is loaded, its down to whichever you choose to place in the VST folder, and yes you wont see any feedback on the GUI regarding if you have selected single or multi but the buttons work fine (only temporary till GUI is in place)cnt wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 8:34 pm Is the current version of the DSP563xxx-emu working with ROMs from Virus B?

Great advancements here! BTW on my Win10 64bit with i9 9900k CPU and RME Babyface FS i have a lot of glitches and interruptions for ASIO buffer size of 64, 128 and 256.These ASIO buffer sizes are the only ones i can use for actual live playing.

Are the CPU spikes gone for everyone now? So that the CPU/DSP goes up to 100% and you hear only crackling?
I had it once when loading a project, then I had it once when I changed parameters in the VirusHC. then it was gone again when I disabled/enabled the plugin

Would this work on an raspberry pi 4 with linux? I tried to find the ROM´s but failed, so before I go back to trying this, maybe it´s good to know if it´s even worth it.
Best Regards
