The delete hot key seems to be eaten within VST. While context menu "Remove Chord Generator" works.

Yes, many hosts do not forward key-presses to the plug-in editor window, and that makes shortcuts unusable. E.g. in Reaper there is a setting for that, other hosts simply swallow the key-presses:
