It opens an empty browser window (in my case chrome) with a blank page. Using RC 4.2.2

No, its not broken. It opens the standard mailto: URL handler with a well formatted mailto: line. Maybe it is not set up properly on your PC. It may not work if you use a web mail, like gmail but that is not a RapidComposer issue.

Hi, Thanks for the fast response to my beginner questions. Will respect that bug thread in future. Regarding the EMail option the browser opens with an empty url in address bar which seems broken. Normal there is at least the mailto command entered when calling a mailto url. mailto:bogus@example.com?subject=test. How ever I think this behaviour is quite uncomfortable for new users having "trouble" with the product. Iam a software developer and a power user also didnt setup any mail client on my system. So I would suggest to open an url with bug report thread (which might work more as expected) or print at least the targeting email address on GUI or in the tooltip of the buttons (feature request too).

Thank you for the feedback! I added extra information in the pop-up help in case the mail URL does not open properly.
