Generative Looping VST Like Hologram Microcosm or Chase Bliss Mood?

Hi Everyone,
I think the title says it all - is anyone aware of any single VST effect that will do generative looping like the Hologram Microcosm or Chase Bliss Mood pedals? Or, perhaps a relatively simple chain of effects for this? I am sure something like this could be created in Bidule or M4L, but I haven't found it yet.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe something like Blue Cat Axiom will work - hard to imagine it wont given it can host any vst including itself

Thanks. In researching this some more, it appears that many of the Puremagnetik plugins may fit this bill, especially when combined with an LFO or other scale/note modulation devices.

I'm not familiar with hologram or chase bliss pedals, but maybe Enso by Audio Damage would work for you. Unusually for AD it has a demo ...

Permut8 has a freeze mode that is perfect for that?

Bumping this because I’m looking for something to basically be a Chase Bliss MOOD but stereo. I’m definitely going to try the Puremagnetik stuff. Looks great. I thought they were only sample based stuff for Live. I have their Fizmo instrument.
I’ll also add that Möbius’ replace modes can give you glitchy loops, though it’s 32 bit and I’m not sure what the Mac version is up to these days. I often had an issue getting it to work in Bitwig, but the developer is open source it, so maybe we’ll have a stable 64 bit version soon. I’m also going to try and see what can be done with MSuperLooper, considering it has a modular effects processor built in.

I sort of get a bit confused by their business model. I’m not entirely sure what subscribing to their Patreon account gets you. I also see you can get some plugins free if you buy an album. Are these also part of the Patreon plugins? I wish people would cut the cute and just sell their software.El°HYM wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 2:46 pm +1 for Puremagnetik

Well I subbed to them for quite some Time now; didnt know about the Patreon, which seems pretty new. I would say the middle Tier should give you every Plugin starting with the recent one. Other than that, you could also just buy the one you need individual.

They also sell bundles (termed "suites") of their plugins at a discount. It's not easy to find on their website (to your point), but if you search for the term "suite" you will find some of them there. There are periodic sales of these suites, too, for very little (around $20 IIRC), if you can wait. Otherwise, I think their Replicas plugin is the closest to Microcosm/MOOD/Count to Five, and worth it for $20.

This one could also be interesting; that would be the Bandcamp - Album plus a free Device Thing.

I tried that today and I have to say that I wasn’t that impressed. I was getting a lot of popping when the loop was split at a non zero crossing point. It could definitely use a crossfade. I could kind of get some good things happening, but overall it seems like a good alpha version that could definitely use a few more features and some polish. I also bought the Strata plugin, and I kind of feel the same. Very cheap but it definitely also felt cheap.El°HYM wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:23 pm This one could also be interesting; that would be the Bandcamp - Album plus a free Device Thing.

Sorry to hear. Cant say that I am having similar Probs with either of those Devices; might be dependent on the Source - material. As for Replicas there is a X-Fade for the Splice - loop, maybe try that. In Strata the Debris - parameter actually adds Clicks & Pops; same goes for Age, which can add Pops, if you turn both down they should disappear. It all depends on personal Workflow and the used material though.zerocrossing wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:15 amI tried that today and I have to say that I wasn’t that impressed.
