Imo, this is a great channel, but not at all the only one about Guitar I would consider.
As a beginner/intermediate guitarist, his stuff is far too advanced for me, both technique and theory wise.

It's amazing that he stopped playing guitar for 25 years then restarted and in months was even better than before, but he was totally immersed in practicing and gigging in the first age that everything was most likely everlastingly nailed in brain and hands.

Very different in the songs he chooses to break down and give tutorials on. If you grew up in the 80's as an Indie kid/Goth, he's great.
I had never seen him before but I like his teaching a lot - very student centred

This channel could give you some ideas about guitar arrangements:

Yes I think his channel is more geared toward Intermediate and advanced, but I still feel you can learn a lot from Beato even as a beginner.
Why the hell did I come back to this God forsaken forum? :dog:

Well I've had a good luck at Beato's videos now, and I don't really see why he gets such a negative response from certain people. I find the guy very interesting to watch, and have probably learn't more from his videos than any others I have watched on youtube.

He has reached a degree of popularity that guarantees that some people will become annoyed by him. It is always like that, people tend to like someone when that person is the underdog, and when popularity reaches certain treshold, suddenly that person is a money hungry sellout. To be fair, videos he makes have changed to some degrees, I was watching his channel when he was recording just with an iPhone and there was few tens of thousands subscribers, and really liked his educational videos, now it is a bit more about entertainment. But educational content is still there.

I couldn't give a rat's ass about his popularity. I also don't question his creds. I find him whining and ranting about stuff like all the dead Apple stuff he bought, his YT issues, his 'top 20 this or that' to be either boring or aggravating. :tantrum: Some people grate on one, some people don't. He grates on me, and it has nothing to do with his popularity. Final word on this, lol.

I have just discovered a new guitar lesson channel, I like it, cuz I like the songs and first and foremost there is not too much talking.
In most cases I stop watching when there is too much talking, no matter whether in a guitar tutorial or in a plugin review.
It's like with food, talking about it, well ok, but I prefer eating food, I also prefer listening to music.

I can't believe that nobody mentioned Bernth. He's the warmest, sweetest Nordic metal shredgod, and I really like his vids on technique and theory.
