I am getting really impatient for August to roll around. I really like Saurus and I've already used the demo in a couple of places but I have to keep reloading the projects when it dies on me. I'd probably pay full price if I hadn't unexpectedly spent $150 on a Korg Collection upgrade yesterday. It's a terrific synth with a big, ballsy sound and everything is on one page. Brilliant!

the price is already down to 59 euro, even though the website still depicts 99 euro. if you click on the "buy now" button, you will see the lower price tag (and the update in september is free anyway).BONES wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 12:51 pm I am getting really impatient for August to roll around. Confirmed.
I already reduced the price for Saurus 2 from €99 / $119 to €59 / $69 in the webshop-system, but still did not find time to update the website itself.
The upgrade to Saurus3 in early September will be for free.

I only got it about a year or so ago myself, but agree it's a nice synth. Glad to see update for it.

Will this be a native Mac M1 release?

Lord knows my VST folder is stuffed full of VA synths but the $69 price tag for Saurus does make it tempting. I wonder if it would be better to wait until version 3 hits to try the demo or will the version 2 demo give me enough of a taste.
It looks like the list of enhancements in version 3 is pretty impressive so it should be quite an upgrade.

There is an F/A Noise Knob to the right of Osc1 and Sub 2 on the screenshot.
Enhancements: More smooth sound of noise.
Not sure if it's White noise or not. I haven't tried the version 2 demo yet.

It is noteworthy that Saurus sound leaves a mark in the memory of many who have tried it (for me too heh), though had been not twist it long time. It seems will reason to recall.raiderpdog wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 7:26 pm

OK, bought! One question, though - where I have used the demo version in a project, it's still the demo version that shows up there and because I can't save patches in the demo, I am going to lose the sounds if I replace the demo with the full version. Any workaround for this besides rebuilding the patches?

That sucks. Developers should only disable loading user patches, not saving them. I mean, some people test synths a lot before they decide to buy them. So they make maybe dozens of presets. Why waste all that effort? Being able to save user patches in the demo version actually increases the likelihood of people buying the synth.BONES wrote: Fri Jul 30, 2021 11:22 pm OK, bought! Yeah, the 20 minute time-out is more than enough of a demo limitation to get people to buy. I sorted it out, though. It's not too big a problem when everything is on one page and so well laid out, it only took me a couple of minutes on each part and was well worth the effort.
