didn´t want to post this as an entry first. but as there are not so many entrys this month...

https://soundcloud.com/user-596153500/o ... oast-worms

maybe i can replace it. at what time is deadline exactly?

tried to make a single patch where all variation is random. but at 50% cpu use i get sound problems.
i hope i can make VeeSee run on linux and maybe then i can add some more variation or finish some of the other stuff i started.

edit:

used reaper with one instance of VeeSeeVST.

1x Nova for high+lowcut
2x limiter no.6

I applaud everything about this entry, it's spirit, it's uniqueness. I love that you've given us a view into it's construction.
I hate it. It fills me with immediate revulsion. If this was the goal, I applaud you once again for your unmitigated success. I've never been so torn between admiration and disgust. I know I was meant to hear it, but once. Just once, and never again.
I hope my unsolicited review doesn't color the judging of our compatriots, because believe, I'm bestowing points, oh yes. points for creativity. points for inspiration. points for pulling something out of this synth that it was never intended to do! POINTS FOR AUDACITY! so yeah. I'm totally giving this four points. it would be five, but I hate it.
Thank you, reading that just made my day in the best way
I've been walking that line between admirable and disgusting a lot in my recent music. I think i've listened to too much hyperpop, and it's getting to my head.
Right now I believe that if i can get any strong emotional response, good or bad, that means I've at least made something interesting.

By the way: don't give me too many points for creativity. I'm still imitating Tristan Perich here, who made a much better composition in an even more audacious medium.

OK this was kind of a challenge. Not due to the synth being peculiar but due to serious lack of CPU power on my side hence the name of the track “Out Of Juice”.

So this month’s submission is a bit on the short side since I could barely hear more than 3 instances of the VeeSeeVSTRack together without my laptop begging for mercy but boy that thing can roaaaar.

DAW: Reaper
x8 VeeSeeVSTRack
A bit of reverb, lots of delay and a tad of compression.

Well, FML. Somehow VCVRack got confused about what file it had open, saved over the wrong file when I saved my changes, and blew away one of my patches. (My guess is the autosave got out of sync with the currently loaded file name following a crash shortly before this happened.) I can get back something pretty close from an older version, but it will take time I don't have and I'm feeling extremely demoralized right now. Bummer, it's been an otherwise very enjoyable month.

So i spent the start of this month playing around making sounds with VeeSeeVST(VSST) and very quickly got to max CPU usage.

I was playing around with JS midi mapping to map midi i played to multiple instances of VSST which started fine but then destroyed my CPU.

Moved onto playing with VCV Rack and watching a lot of Omri Cohen Youtube vids. Really enjoyed streaming some of the stuff i was making onto twitch, a lot of fun!

This week i wanted to actually make something but with all the Rack patches i had made i couldn't find anything i really liked. I was recording all the tracks into Reaper but just not enjoying that process at all.

Queue today, last day of the month. I started from scratch making some tunes fed the midi from Reaper via VCV Rack Bridge to VCV Rack and then outputting the tracks via ReaRoute APIO to Reaper.

Here is the result.

Oh...those were the days, when life was simple. Feeding the lucky camel, practicing in the barn and parallel fifths were just called power chords. Then the camel met a big-eyed needle and took off to make it's own luck. Everything went south. The move to the city, the neighbours complaining and chords going all fancy on me. Not to mention the mood swings. But things are looking up again. Lucky's back !

This happened to me, too. After Rack crashes, it loads the autosave file but names it something else - I lost one of my projects earlier this month in this fashion. Since I was making full tracks in one file, it didn't affect my end result but I lost one whole potential song. I'd make a github issue about it if I planned on using Rack more in the future, but I don't.
