So I did a test with Plugin doctor with the Slick EQ and I'm curious why my EQ curve doesn't look like the other one posted here. There seems to be a sharp slope somewhere around 20k on my test. Am I testing wrong, or perhaps it's different with the free version? Also maybe someone more knowledgeable than I could explain, if there is a steep filter cutoff right after 20k, what would be the importance of oversampling with this plugin? To minimize aliasing for all the stuff leading up to 20k?
Thanks

"EQ SAT" is a non-linear module that causes harmonics.
oversampling fixes so harmonics don't mirror over nyquist.
the steep cutoff is an anti-aliasing filter.

Sorry I know you responded a while ago.........If it is oversampled, so harmonics don't "mirror over nyquist," then why the need for an anti-aliasing filter?

Post

Because if you don’t filter out these harmonics, they will mirror back down when plugin downsamples back to project sampling rate
