Just purchased it for $100 at a loyalty discount. I’m extremely pleased. The reverb assistant is great and I love the EQ options. I’ve never dug that deep with reverb before and this is teaching me so many ways to apply it. I love the control. I have used the stock Logic and a couple Waves options, but this so far sounds better to my ears and I can really customize the feel.

Great purchase. I was so excited I also decided to upgrade my Nectar 3 to Plus. Had a weird issue installing from the portal, but their customer support helped and we got it installed in ten minutes. Plus is really a great update too. Less audio degradation from assistant as well as the unmasking feature.

On the Izotope train currently. Very impressed with their products. Great UI and really teaches me hands on how to be more advanced with my mixing which I can always take to other tools as well.

Good mood today. :tu:

I guess the C3P0 engine wasn't up to snuff? :borg:

I love EA's Nimbus and R4 so will check this out at some point. The thing is, it's already super-easy to dial out masking/resonances on those with the 3 multi-mode filters (esp. Notch/BandPass) and tail suppression.

am using neoverb regularly (along with the fabfilter and valhalla ones); like it.

The R2 sound without the craptastic Exponential GUI? Yes, please. I really do get the hate on iZotope for their marketing and licensing, but to those who say that this is "just another reverb" and that it's too expensive, please remember that it is an Exponential reverb under the hood. Always good and always listed among the best natural reverbs out there, if surpassed by more recent Exponential offerings.

They’re also missing the key features that make it unique, like the blend of 3 reverbs you can easily automate, the unmasking and the Smooth function. I haven’t seen those things in other reverbs, so who can it be just another one?!?

Clearly they just dismissed it without looking st it closely enough.

From what I can tell, the big orb-ball thing in the center that does the morphing thing is not, itself, exposed as a parameter for automation. That is, when you move that thing, it moves the underlying parameters. Which means that you are stuck automating with a mouse, and when you want to change the automation envelope, you must edit the underlying envelopes.

Am I missing something?

I hate it when developers do this. If you make a magic macro orb-ball morpher thing, make it automatable!

Seems pretty good but wish it could be resized bigger

I have to agree and admit I recently upgraded for MPS to get RX8 and Neoverb was a really nice surprise it really good flexible and owning many top tier reverbs I find a lot of uses for it already also for sound design and automating stuff.

The only downside for me and quite big is GUI it’s bad for me, as most of the latest iZotope plugins but this one is really far away for my taste and preference.

Very cool!

I demoed it sometime ago and liked it.
I guess now's the time to get it (or maybe upgrade to musician's bundle 4 or whatever it is called these days).

Yeah, that's bound to change though as the whole market is generally moving towards resizable UIs. I think it's just a matter of time.

Has anyone tested the demasking feature against the implementation in Sonible Smart Reverb? I'm tempted to get this at the discount price but I don't like Izotope as a company.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

No, but I can say it will either listen to its input or a sidechain provided by any one of its other plugins including Relay and it will account for any frequency buildups so it won't end up creating extra mud. It works pretty well too

I've tried this unmasking feature.
Yes, it works. It sounds way better with it. The sound is cleaner, that's something you can't deny.
But the thing is I just didn't click with the reverb itself. I have far better solutions. Try it before you buy. It's not that impressive imho.
And for some reason the modulation section is totally broken on my machine. It seems to work for about 2 seconds, then it simply stops modulating anything. Don't know if it's supposed to work this way, anyway I don't like it.
