Time to change my setup.
Actually have i7 860 (quite old) with 8G of ram on win7 , steinberg UR22 an it struggle big time.
Instead of buying and installing win10 (soon win11) I would rather change my system.
Looking for ryzen 9 3900X or intel i7 10700K.
Is there compatibility problems with AMD running Win10 and most DAW (cubase, live, reason) and VST (all Tone2 product, Avenger, Nexus, Roland cloud, Superior drummer etc).
AMD vs INTEL

i5-11600K is better option than that i7. Also, if you are considering 3900X, add little extra and get yourself 5900X instead.

17 are not stable, maybe i3 i5 or amd. I don't like the idea of a gpu on a cpu, and wonder if it's binned and ultimately bottlenecked, especially in the way of bus and hyperthreading.
Cores become very intricate with dependencies and throttling. So I'd say amd powerful without a gpu built in. For gpu, amd. Nvidia have a terrible picture for video like in zoom etc. It's embarassing.

I don't make audio products anymore. I sell furniture & smart products.
