Some FL 5 comments...
You can now use mp3s as samples. The time-stretching engine is solid. You can set audio clips to fit the tempo of the project (while preserving pitch), which is damn cool, but... it does not re-align the start time of audio clips (of vocal doubles, or guitar harmonies, etc.) so changing the tempo means realigning stuff manually if all your audio tracks don't start at the beginning of the song.

Been going through the reference manual. I must admit it looks really good and the proce is a bargain. Can't see any mention of PDC yet - does it have this now? Also I see still no freeze or is there the same thing but with a different name? The time stretching looks good and the really open ended rewire functionality would be a real boon in some situations.
btw - I think there maybe a mistake in the manual at one point as it lists what looks like a sound module as an effect

I guess you haven't heard of bittorrent? I mean 65 thousand people serving the demo for you for free is quite a lot...jeanmariecannie wrote:We are currently mailing out the newsletter with the FL 5 anouncement to the 61.474 people in our userdatabase (takes about 8 hours) and to the 43.000 others (will take another 6.5 hours).jcroot wrote:wouldn't it have been nice if imageline could have let us know this?
The problem is that we can't mail out/announce anything until Tucows has the demo mirrored or we're flooded with users asking where their installer is.
See ya,
