...also works with audio-recording.Sensational wrote:You know before you would record and the pattern would keep going into silence. Now you can say maybe 4 bars have it repeat while recording midi and add on top of it,with undo and you can add more channels while still recording. this is great for drums and when you have hot synth ideas. keeps the creative juices working. Try it and be prepared to be in heaven.origami wrote:hey can you explain exactly what's that loop recording issue?

I've tried for 30mins and then had to come to work
Tried loop recording but couldn't figure it out. How does it work? I've selected a time region in the piano roll, enabled loop record, hit record and play, and play while it looped a few times. How could I retrieve the recorded parts then? Damn, I should have called sick leave...

I'm about to try to loop record in the playlist! Here goes!

i'm just selecting "blend recorded notes with existing data" and the little R> icon. load up a synth in a channel then hit record. no need to go into the piano roll...
i can even switch synts and start loop recording without stopping.

I just tried the FPC "Fuckin Piece of Crap" as it was named before it was released. I have to say this thing is hot! You can set up as many layers as you want and define them to what ever velocity very cool. I just think they should be able to overlap for better layering and cross fades.

The main thing that struck me about FPC, is the very low cpu use – so if you have a 'to the hilt project' that just ‘needs’ a beat – but has no room for major beat work left, or you don’t want to bounce – FPC saves the day easy.
The browsable real midi files can be dropped straight into the piano roll – with out having to do anything other than browse through the midi clips. (top right of fpc)
The layering is easy to use and the all in one mixer make for last second volume adjustments and for sending each pad off to whatever fx slot in the main FL mixer – I reckon its going to get additions to it over time too.
Pretty easy to construct your own kits, and save the presets.
And that’s all as a free update too = cool
Best regards,

Dare I say BUG! in the pianoroll! I loop record a phrase in steps and the first note cuts short ruining the sequence. This just spoiled my day.

what settings in the top menu ie. 321 or wait for midi input - just had a go here with the wait for midi input and no cut off - playing from the step. Try that. also I did not have blend with data on with this try.Sensational wrote:Dare I say BUG! in the pianoroll! I loop record a phrase in steps and the first note cuts short ruining the sequence. i'm finding it's a bit unkind to first notes too. also that if you apply a groove template it will sometimes push a note outside the looped area and so create a double-length sequence. then have to delete the note and it returns to normal...
