It seems ported from the iOS! Does it have another user interface for PC/Mac? One page interface?

I don't like the interface if it's the same! So many tabs. It doesn't make sense for a PC/Mac port. Why it isn't one page synth?!

Nope! Whatever a killer sound it has! Unless it has a one page synth (or almost at least).
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

O.k. found it
Glad I demoed it , expected a bit more from toneboosters , just seems like a regular two osc synth + modulation + tb effects added .

True. I don't like tabs as well. And there's a lot of (unnecessary in the desktop) real state just for the keybed.
It's the same for Sugarbytes' Aparillo, it seems designed for tablets.

Great update on all of their plugins!

Gave the synth a quick spin. The sound quality seems superb, up there with the greatest and less synthetic than a lot of wavetable synths. The formant filter is beyond anything I've heard before. Will explore it a bit more ...

Indeed (although it's not a bad thing, given Toneboosters effects quality). And I got the impression this synth is just a first try from Toneboosters in the synth arena, hence why it looks so unpretentious.

I like the Toneboosters stuff and they are amongst my first call plugins, but my feeling is that this synth is not ready for the big time just yet...

Jereon will work on it and it will develop, but as it stands, it is a little underwhelming for me...

A bit undercooked...

I'll watch it with interest, but in the meantime,I have more than enough synths to take care of business :)
No auto tune...

Great modern sounding synth with a nice feature set. Thank God it's not yet another boring analog emulation. I think it's got a fast workflow but then I don't consider a mouse click to be physically demanding or tabs to be mentally taxing.

Fair price point. All in all I'd say a very nice first synth from Toneboosters. :tu:

Why the snidey bullshit? No-one's finding these 'physically demanding' or 'mentally taxing'. But if it's not done well an interface with a lot of tabbing can be a detriment to the experience, and I personally think this synth needs improvement on that front. Other synths have envelopes and LFOs on separate tabs but the layout + minimal mouse travel required across the interface generally make it a non-issue. I like Toneboosters stuff generally but for me the user experience with this lacking.

You certainly have the right to your opinion.

But like I said I don't find mouse clicks and tabs a big deal.

UI design is an almost impossible task to please everyone. Tabs? People will complain. Too many elements on one page? People will complain "it's too crowded". Make the UI larger? People will complain "it doesn't fit on my screen"......and so on and on and on.

I find the UI design of this synth to be logical and fast given its feature set. I've only spent a few minutes with it and I'm already comfortable.

Is anything perfect? Of course not but if you have the ability to adapt and adopt you'll find any perceived imperfections to be much less of an issue.

Nope, for me making music is meant to be fun so if I don't like using something I just won't use it. Lots of good options out there to cover all bases for everyone.

Toneboosters does update and improve his products so I expect he'll do the same with this.

Post

It's great to see Toneboosters also entered the territory of synths!
Too bad this first creation doesn't bring anything special to me. It's only a first product though. Maybe the next plugin will amaze me :-)
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

He might add new features in the future, more waveforms etc.
