• Add, remove, and rearrange up to 16 modules in one single instance of the plugin, tailoring your own EQ plugin.
• 5 SonEQ modules to choose from:
• Low band Module: Similar to one of the most famous analog EQ, the low-frequency controls consist of two filters that work interactively. One boosts lows while the other attenuates. Choose from 4 center frequencies: 20, 30, 60, and 100 Hz.
• Low-Mid band Module: this band is a bell filter ranging from 45 Hz to 4000 Hz with a generally soft and very musical sound. Engage the HiQ to use the band for a “surgical” treatment.
• High-Mid band Module: Ranging from 400 Hz to 9000 Hz, the high-mid band features a larger bandwidth and smoothly shaped bell, making it ideal for this type of frequency equalization.
• High Module: taking inspiration from a variety of equalizers famous for their ability to apply a soft and silky sheen to the audio material. SonEQ2’s high boost is great for adding a natural “air” to an individual instrument or an entire mix.
• Preamp Module: clean and add warmth to the signal using the filters and drive from the preamp module

It's expensive compared to their previous budget priced EQ. But it sounds great. Very nice EQ.

this sounds great and useful (i lost count how many times i thought, if only this EQ had one more band...), except it's way too expensive. TuCo was already pushing it for me, and i can't really justify the expense for this EQ.

I agree that with a lot of “vintage”, console-type EQ, sometimes the usual 4 bands aren’t enough, but do you really need 16 EQ slots?
For me, a product with half the slots, but a bigger selection of EQ modules would make more sense. Sonimus already have Neve and SSL emulations, so why not include those?
I think that would make a great product, a flexible EQ with no fancy graphs or analyzers to distract you, but a choice of classic curves. Kinda like SlickEQ, just more and freely selectable bands.

As of now, this looks mostly like they did a fancy new GUI for SonEQ and doubled the price.

I don't need whole 16, but i may need 5 or 6 from time to time. Having that kind of headroom is nice. However, i agree with module selection being slightly limited, i would've loved at least a Tilt module there (which is odd because Sonimus have Sweetone which is a tilt EQ and it's the EQ i use most often!).

Still, the price stings, so even if it were to have different curves (which for the record i don't think it's necessary - i would rather them make an opinionated EQ than a jack-of-all-trades one), i would've passed on it.

No it does not.

Instead of asking here the best thing you can do for yourself is to simply try how it perform on your personal computer. Because forum members can't know your entire setup. I suggest you try it on your computer and your music and see does it fit your workflow.

The demo uses more CPU than actual plugin. Sonimus has this weird policy with their demoes.
