Put me off for a while, you can buy it complete (Ultimate or whatever its called) but its expensive that way- buy the basic synth in a sale then pick the FX up as you go along (interest free credit!) they are often in sales and once you have a few the upgrade price to ultimate gets cheaper....its not a bad system TBH...

Remember, all the presets (and there are a lot of them and cheap pre-set packs) let you use everything complete, you just cant edit some of the the FX until you buy them.

I love this synth and get access to it via the subscription. I will eventually get PhasePlant itself for sure, and pick up a few of the snaps (Trance Gate and Dynamics are high priorities as I just love those - the EQs, Disperser, and the Comb Filter are on my list for sure too, and some of the effects that do Stereo since those are great tools for sound design within SnapHeap too). It is an incredible program, and the $10 a month feels very worth it to me to get to use it and SnapHeap, knowing that in time I can apply a portion of the balance toward the product too. I am not against the surge in rent-to-own schemes and subscriptions, personally, some of it feels pretty customer friendly and this is one I like for an outstanding product family.

The guys are working hard on the next big update and a few new effects. No solid release dates as yet but we're in beta and our testers are hyped. You can be certain we'll let everyone know when it's out.

I'm wondering about the Phase Plant scheme, they do a "kind of" rent to own thing, you get 100 euros back for 12 months at 9.99 euros. So you can buy it outright after 2 years with change.

Surely rent to own makes more sense ? Although you get the fully suite for that 9.99

Id rather buy it outright, do they do any sales ?

Yes they do sales. The vouchers do not work during sales. So if you do rent to own, you'll pay more.
