Is GR-8 not available as a VST? Someone mentioned this. Could this be added as an option? I've been using it as AU. I think the synth would be a great choice for KVR's OSC.

Of course it's available as a VST. I don't think it would be such a great choice, not until it has velocity modulation.

I don't believe it is on the Mac which I guess tickytock is on as he's used the au version up till now...

Yet another reason not to use a Mac.

Not even when it's raining
No auto tune...

Excuse my ignorance. Is VST not automatically cross-platform between Windows and Mac OS? If not, I'm asking Phuturetone to bridge the gap so that this excellent synth could be featured in a KVR OSC.

I don't know the answer for your question, but that would be great. Running a KVR OSC featuring the GR-8 could be an excellent way of gathering more presets for it

GR-8 is made in SynthEdit so he can only do what SynthEdit allows. I'm sure if it allowed for Mac VST, he would have made it available.

Sorry, guys, no VST3 for Mac.

As Bones explained, I'm using SynthEdit for plugins development, with VST3 for Win and Audio Unit for Mac exports.

Thanks, Erisian – unfortunately, that works in the opposite direction. I'd need to convert an Audio Unit to VST3 on Mac, but there's no such tool. Supposedly, Apple forbids it.

Live and Reaper on Mac support both VST and AudioUnit. I assume Steinberg is a large company and has all the resources needed to support AudioUnit on Mac. It makes more sense to ask them to enable the use of AudioUnit than solo developers to provide solutions for each DAW. The same thing applies to other DAW developers for Mac.

Hi Sasha, first of all, this plugin captured my heart right away! With all the fixes it was amazing! I have a request if possible, otherwise it's fine!
If you heard a popup, or a slider to choose the options of the arpeggiator module and the Legato/chord instead of the click\drag of the mouse, it would be very interesting to better visualize the existing options!! It's a simple thing but it affects the workflow a lot. Thanks man for the excellent synthesizer!
I love coffee...

I was thinking maybe Mac users could use it to host the vst3. Is that not possible?

From the description on the page, I get that it used to wrap Mac VST3 as Audio Unit. It can't wrap PC VST3 as Mac VST3.
