I hated IK too until MODO Bass, which completely changed my mind. If MODO guitar is anywhere close to as good, it will be a underpants-changer.
Are you sure you're posting in the correct modeling forum? :?
Someone's spell-checker gone wild?

Someone changed it in a quote.

Anyway I doubt we'll see MODO Guitars this year and sadly as much as I'd love to see a 2019 release, it's looking quite like a 2020 release. I mean 4 years is quite a long time, right?

With so many sampled, and synthesized guitar sounds at hand,
MODO Guitar will need a tremendous effort to be clearly superior
on all fronts. Pointless to rush out something marginally better.
While real guitars won't be supplanted, the fun and creativity
a polished MODO Guitar software will unleash is well worth
waiting for. Two things that don't sleep: rust, and competition.
If your business has them, then it's :x war :x

The mere fact that it will be a fraction of the size of sample libraries and will be able to simulate any guitar model, not just be limited to one or having to buy expensive and huge add-ons to get more, will be huge advantages.

Exactly. I have sample libraries. They're limited to the samples included. I want something like MODO Bass which is virtually unlimited.

Any guitar vsti that has a sequencer similar to Papen's RG, coupled with the sample set of something like those of Ample sounds, will probably be on to a big seller.

October-November 2020 release is my guess and if it's not out by then well I guess my jaw will drop like owl shit to the forest floor ;)

All I know is it's not coming this year. So pack up the toys and head home.

Fast forward 19 months...we're not there yet.

Maybe this year.

Maybe next.

Basses were released 2016, drums released 2019...maybe 2022...LOL

I'm really hoping for a MODO Guitar as well.

Sound is one thing, but if it doesn't feel right to play, then it's a bit pointless.

Judging by the Hammond B-3X and MODO Bass, I found found them to feel playable in a way that none of the competition is.

Right. I just want MODO GUITAR to be able to create "living tablature" so I don't forget how to play my parts. I want a small footprint on my laptop.

I was a bit disappointed that the MODO bass update didn't include a 'midi guitar mode', where chord mode ignores the fretting 'rules' and plays it exactly as it's played, if you get me drift. I appreciate it's a bass simulator..but come on.. chords! :hihi:

Anyways, this would be a must for any geetar version. Whilst I obviously play and record guitar, I also sketch out stuff sometimes on the YRG plastic midi thing, plus it's quiet at night.. Nowt worse than having your prime jangle cut off because some vst get's confused by you playing the same note twice at the same time. :x

Excuse me bud. I've been married for almost 38 years. The only person I have to impress I did a long time ago. So you can go take YOUR attitude and shove it.
