I now know that I was so lucky. I got my regcode immediately after JMC posted those tucows links, that was before the 60,xxx e-mails were being sent out.

My worlds not gonna end 'cos I can't get a reg code, but it's f#cking frustrating. I tried a few times last night, got as far as My FL page loading a couple of times, clicked on the register button and it fell over. Thought leave it till this morning.....just as bad now. Normally, I have to wait ages to download the update itself, never seen this problem with registering it before.

True. But Image-Line is infamous for having The Worst Customer Support of the soft studio "Big 3".Sensational wrote:Why would they laugh Orion and Reason updates are no where near as spectacular as FLS. I think Orion Plat was updated last week, did any one notice or care? I saw some one even trying to sell thier license for it.TonyVanDam wrote:I can see all the Orion & Reason-users laughing at us right now!tigerotool wrote:i downloaded the new fl studio and installed it. i opened the email and clicked the go to my fl studio link to get a new reg code and the web site doesn't work. so i'm stuck with the demo version. do we just have to wait till the server is less crowded? i've been trying for the past 3 hours.
Nonetheless, FLS is the heart & soul of my production studio. Therefore, I want my damn regcodes!!!

Ummm! support is topps with ImageLine (even the ezgenerator web tool has top support)- dedicated support forum - with correct solutions - users that Help others in another dedicated forum - you can talk to the lead developer and other members of the team, often, with issues about the software. bugs do get fixed.TonyVanDam wrote:

In fact I am one to bring up support issues big time if I see them - when was the last time you see me mention ImageLine? got to be at least two years ago now. They are doing great imo.
Hey you even get proper detailed info about updates, before they happen - regular effective updates - new products for free, free updates etc. Dynamic discount to new lines too in the online shop etc. the list just goes on, the support with ImageLine is very good indeed.
Best regards,

Another potentially stupid question here - how easy is it to change the VSTi in a channel once you've created it?
Say I record a riff using Triangle and I then decide to use VAZ instead, can I easily switch the VSTi the channel uses (like I can in Tracktion) or do I have to create a new empty channel for VAZ (with the same mixer/fx settings) and then copy all the note data over?
Regards,
Derek.

When you load a VSTi into a channel and open it (e.g., open Triangle II), there are a number of drop down menus at the top-left of the plugin window. ONE of these has a pull down that lets you select another VST from the list without adding a new channel.
I think it's the little grey folder icon.
