Music Anyone?

It seems that there is a core of people here that regularly post tracks. Then there are others that never post anything. So I was wondering, do all these people actually make music?
If you don't make music, I'm genuinely curious as to why you're here (and that's not meant in an offensive way).
[edit] I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with not posting tracks here just interested to hear what else people get from hanging out here. Obviously there's a wealth of knowledge and news etc...

Have not got the bottle since the OHM comp some time back. Where I was insulted by PM, email and by a 'fan' plus various other things that put me off posting songs at K-v-R - I was new to posting music in large forums - and there ya go. But I make music and often do the comps but not post them. ( I wonder who remembers that )

I should add that for myself, I regularly post tracks here, which is a double edged sword - I usually get positive feedback but sometimes the criticism can be quite harsh although I've learnt to live with that and to an extent I have improved as a result.

I do make music, but I've never posted a song here, but links to my soundclick page instead where u can listen to some of my songs.

I post tunes fairly regularly..well, things have gotten slower lately. I've found I get a much bigger response with my pop stuff than my atmosperic. Plus, sometimes it helps to use vurts' lyrics.
negative comments don't bother me anymore; if I like an idea presented, I'll try it. To be honest, the Cafe is my main motivation to finishing tracks. I'm a great piddler and have half a million unfinished projects.

i voted for the 1st option ("yes, ..post from time to time") even if its a lie.
but i will soon (at least in dec around xmas - yes, a present from me to mankind
) put on a small website with sum songs/beats and stuff of what i think might be interesting.
(brought to wav usin' channel grabber
).

really? for me every new vst(i) is always an inspiration for a new tune. f.e. the day i got Kubik, Adder and Rock i did a song using adder(x2), kubik, rock and halion drums. i tried the rephrase demo recently and ended up doing a tune w/ an acoustic bass tweaked in rephraseHansM wrote: ...Due to the many new releases and new products, a lot of my time is spent with experimenting, which doesn't result in new songs. ....

Interesting thread.
I have posted some of my tracks here, mostly to good comments and appreciation.
My problem is getting people to listen - I use ACID PLANET as my host which only enables streaming or d/l after registration, it might as well be the seed of Satan...

I have posted music here before, but as it seems like the KVR crowd is either (in the broad sense) into indie/prog rock (guitar, male vocals, acoustic drums) or ambient/experimental (soundscapes/textures, little or no drums and no vocals), I find I have to bump my tunes to even get a reply.
Now, when was the last time I heard a pop/RnB/Hip hop tune here, despite it being the most popular styles. Come to think of it, when was the last time I heard female vocals here?
Of course there's exceptions, but they seem rare.

The tracks that I have finished, I've posted here. Then again, that only means 2 tracks (and 1 WIP that I swear I'm going to finish). I guess I'm here because of the variety of music related discussion, from the DSP stuff to the philosophical threads. There may be other forums to discuss this, but few are as active, so that's basically it. Oh, and the developer presence is a big plus too.
I wish I could get negative comments. The stuff I've posted has been commented on by less than 10 people, and most of those were things that I agreed with or knew about when I posted the song. It would be nice to get in some more involved discussion. My favorite song (of mine) is one that I got to discuss at length with my music tech teacher, and I doubt I would have liked it as much if I didn't have input while creating it.

post away i say,as far as im concerned the idea is to get feedback and find out how to do this that n the other and hopefully get better.
also i like to hear what others do with the technology available as it shows us all whats available i guess.
as for negative feedback if its the rude in yer face "your track is shite go f**k a pig" rubbish we sometimes see, just ignore it.but remember not all negative feedback is bad if theyre actually tryna help out with mixin n stuff
so come on all you shy boys forget what people have said in the past
lets hear yas!!!!!(altho gimme a couple of days to catch up after the manc meet up
)
