Saw Pogues twice, first time they were fine though booked on a small stage at a free GLC festival when unknown and had become mega so the small area they were in was mobbed. Second time, Reading festival, drunk Shane at one point falls off stage into the crowd.
Final Shane sighting Guilford festival, The Popes, he arrives comatose has to be carried by two guys from the coach, left propped on a chair for an hour, same guys lift him onstage to the mic and when the beat hits he starts singing like he’s in the wide awake club. A true legend.
