I'm not a religious man, but isn't the idea of Christmas to be something else?Midiworks wrote:Remember Christmas ?

The idea of Christmas would be dead, so would be sales too.

Christmas music has been playing in stores for over a month aroud these parts. >_< Used to be they'd wait until after Thanksgiving to start pushing the next buying opportunity of a lifetime. Now it starts even before Hallowe'en.
I was raised in a very mixed family. Christmas, Chanukkah... now my mate and I just celebrate Yule.

Midiworks quoth Remember Christmas ?
Is that the one with the Bunny? I like that one.
How would it feel to have that every week of the year ?
People giving you gifts? Every week. Quite nice really.
Except that this is nothing like Christmas. Its more like sales in the High Street. Which happen every week!!!
The idea of Christmas would be dead, so would be sales too.
Bollocks. I dont see Tesco shutting down cos they do two-for-one offers every week.
Do I really need to say more ?
Something with a factually provable basis would be nice.

every day is a joyous celebration of peace on Earth and goodwill to mankind round my house. I don't need a calendar to tell me when to be happier than normal...

Wow, that's real witty. And yes, while people might have got what you were saying about Christmas nobody actually agreed that group buys are like that.
So, stop trying to be the 'them' thats trying to 'fool' us will you.
