...attenuate the bands according to the sidechain input?
ie: only the frequencies the sidechain source is sending out.
In pro q3 the eq match averages out but I would like something that zooms in on specific bands from the sidechain and automatically reduces on the affected track in real time so its not just the band gains that are automated but the frequency too. I realize it's highly unlikely such a technology exists but I thought id try anyway cause I live in the future.

trackspacer does exactly that

it's useful for cleaning up and making space for stuff that is in the same frequency bands

MeldaDynamicEQ can listen to the sideband input and you can decide which of the 5 EQ nodes are listening to the sideband and which ones are just working as a standard dynamic EQ. I suspect there are others that do this as well.

Trackspacer for fixed bank (crossovers), soothe2 for fft. Also gullfoss

Ever since doing it with soothe i stopped using trackspacer - better control.
All are fine tho
