Hello all, I had to renew my computer and it seems my old M Audio 1010 rack is not longer compatible with newest mother boards, because it is PCI and PCI express is the common thing now. My doubt is: if you need an interface for controlling libraries only (piano), and listening music with your computer, which one of the subject would you pick?. I really can’t decide. I am looking for a good latency (convincing) and good sound therefore.
Thanks a lot!.
Thanks a lot!.

Some modern motherboards have decent audio, decent but not studio quality.

I would use a PCIe to PCI adapter

You may need a case with vertical slots

Only RME has good latency in USB.

Thanks for your answer. I was considering this option, only that I have to import the device it seems, as it is not locally available. I concerned about the possibility that latency or something is affected with these adapters.Pictus wrote: Mon Aug 23, 2021 6:48 am Some modern motherboards have decent audio, decent but not studio quality.

You are welcome, no problem with latency.donethur wrote: Mon Aug 23, 2021 4:16 pm Thanks for your answer. I see. I just want to control piano libraries, produce my compositions, and listening music. I won’t record audio directly. I was worried mainly by latency.
