Is everyone getting a pink background on menus and tooltips in certain plugins - arturias and nexus for example? It seems to have been known about since last year but I can't see anyone complaining about it, which seems pretty weird.

Oh yeah, and sometimes they just freeze on top of your screen and won't disappear, which is pretty cool...

No, but I don't use those plugins. I've had no weird visual anomalies on my M1 Mini. If it's working, it's working fine.

What version of macOS are you on?
Similar issues were reported with early versions of BigSur, but resolved months ago with latest updates.

Yep. Happens here too.
Logic Pro latest, Arturia Rev Plate.
Other plugins like both Arturias choruses and flanger, tool tips simply are not showing.
In Ableton Live 11.0.6, these same plugins, tool tip sometimes show, sometimes only after a second hover. No pink to be found tho.
There's something weird going on... maybe.
Remember that Arturia said their plugins are not yet tested on M1's, rosetta or native.

So this seems to be an issue with some developers that use the Juce bootstrap for their plugins. I can't tell if it's the devs at fault for not modifying their code to fix the issues, Juce need to update their template, or logic needs to fix it. Either way, it's been 9 months now and still no fix in sight.

Native. The issue isn't there in rosetta mode.
Can the people saying they don't have the issue please be more specific about whether they're running an M1 Mac and if they're testing the same plugs in logic (native), else the findings get confusing.

M1 Mini 16gb/1tb. Logic Pro latest v. The only weirdness, and it wasn't this, happens occasionally running Intel plugins in Native mode.

Reason Rack behaves strangely in native mode: the window size keeps jumping from super wide to normal to super wide… not usableBombadil wrote: Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:44 pm M1 Mini 16gb/1tb. And Softube Modular opens, the “canvas” is displayed fine, but there is no module selector. Also not usable.

The only odd issues I've run into like this on my M1 was when I had my Displays preferences set to the incorrect color display profile. Once I set it back to normal everything has been fine.
