One year ago I still had this picture in mind when people talked about T-Racks. :D

This is how it would look nowadays:

Ah that would have been the standalone. I was talking the plug-in version.

Today, that plugin version shows the processors in series whereas I want it stacked vertically like how you showed.

It looks like you need MixBox. It has all processors on the one page :)

When they'll start losing customers they'll start to care. So vote with your wallet.

Not only I haven't bought anything for some years now, but I also haven't installed any IK piece of crap (that would otherwise be ok or good but no longer matters) that I already own.
Well this is the sort of thing that's hard to quantify. We can only make our voices heard through threads this like (which probably echo the sentiments of 100x the participants here).

I see the Group Buy & I'm interested. I see products I like to own. Then I see I don't even use the products I already have from the Total Max 2 bundle. Why not? Because half of them are unwanted 'demo's. Then I make the conclusion "nah one more plugin or bundle from IKM that I won't use, let's skip it".

It's hard to quantify that thought process.
The 7100 (and counting) 'voices' in the group buy are louder. IKM is a marketing centric company it seems. And humans tend to gravitate to perceived bargains (more for money) and flashy sales and games. So these kind of sales and token games work well.

Their whole goal is to have you buy everything from the company lineup. Or at least dangle the carrots in front of ones face at all times to entice a potential sale.

What I'm saying is you're not likely to get any relief from this. We either can just accept this or spend our money elsewhere.

True, and hopefully IK realizes that the 7100 could be 9400 if they addressed some issues. ;-)

"Gosh I wish I got a whole bunch of demos with my purchases with no way of identifying which is which" said no-one ever.

Then again, Peter has said they plan to address this issue. What the fix is, remains to be seen. If it's a simple opt-in during installation process that installs all demo plugins only if the customer wants it, then it'll be a win-win (for both IKM and the customers).

Post

You will probably have to rebuy your plugins to get it to work. Much like screen resizing worked going from TR 4->5. Or ST 3->4.

Which has to be another reason why they love these low dollar group buys -- more people on the hook for subsequent upgrade fees. Waves does the same thing -- rock bottom priced sales then makes up for it with Wup.

Post

This is super annoying and something I hope they will sort out. I decided not to install the handful of IKM plugins I own on my recent fresh Windows install because of it.
Always Read the Manual!

Nothing in t-racks/mix box agrees with my setup, could be Mac Pro 5.1 GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2 GB

The GUI's are blurred, especially in MixBox. I guess some might say it's my computers fault but the fact Analog Obsession, NI, Izotope, Waves, Arturia, etc all look fine is telling.

Shame but there it is.

Arc 3 is basically the only IK products that works for this current setup.

Also the fact that all the GB products are NFR is a deciding factor me to walk on by not buy. ;-)

I wouldn't touch anything from that company with a ten foot pole even if I would get money for it, I can't understand how that many get trapped in that group buy....
The first money I burnt in my studio was such a super group buy from that company. Never ever again .

MixBox is also blurry on my screen. Using 2080TI with 4K monitor. It's non-usable blurry in fact.

Thank for letting me know, gui should be 100% on such expensive plugins.

There were updates that corrected some GUI issues. Please make sure you are using the latest version and if you are and still have issues please alert IK Support who can assist. I have a PC with a regular 2080 and it works perfectly without blurring.

I tried the latest version from product manager but the gui as mentioned by others was still an issue.

I doubt going down the support route is going to solve anything. but if you need an experienced beta tester then get in touch.

cheers.

How about something like a button that toggles a filter, exactly like what you have in AmpliTube 5?
I really appreciate this feature, since it lets me quickly get to what I own and also check out exactly what I don't own at the click of a button.
