Are you asking if ABL3 Rack Extension owners get a free copy of the VST? That would be sweet.electro wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 1:51 pm Is ABL3 registration data also good for the Reason Rack Extension?
According to Mike, ABL3 VST's features may or may not make an appearance in ABL Rack Extension, depending on how much work it takes and whether the SDK supports it. I wouldn't hold my breath.
That said, as a Reason+ subscriber, I can say that the last updated version of ABL3 RE (currently 1.1.1 from 2017-05-08) appears in hi-res in R+ aside from the Custom Display text, which is flat out ugly. Open this in a seperate tab for full res:

Just installed 3.3.0.2 demo on Win7. Switched to big GUI in the menu, without changing the skin. When I add a new instance it shows with the small GUI.Mike Janney wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 10:37 am It is supposed to remember GUI size. If you change skin it will reset the GUI size to the default.

I've always used Phoscyon, and relied on that for all 303 needs, but how does this really compare ? I want the fat sounding josh wink style 303's , or phat bass style.
I never seem to completely nail it on Phoscyon.
Its either me or the way these things work, so is there much difference between them ?

No clue; AudioRealism moves in mysterious ways quite often. I personally don't like his messy style at all.
BTW, the GUI resizing doesn't get remembered on Win10 either (at least for me that is).

I'm not a 303 expert, but maybe it is not possible without EQing and proper saturation/distortion....LeVzi wrote: Tue Aug 24, 2021 6:44 pm I've always used Phoscyon, and relied on that for all 303 needs, but how does this really compare ? We can do VST3 builds. But not without forfeiting VST2 builds because of license issues. Why do you need VST3?

What license issues? From what I've seen most devs are releasing both VST2 and VST3 unless they only recently got he VST license since Steinberg stopped giving licenses for VST2. I've never heard of anyon with a current VST2 license needing to forfeit it to provide VST3's.Mike Janney wrote: Wed Aug 25, 2021 9:58 amWe can do VST3 builds. I'm just curious because I'm generally moving to VST3 since most of what I use is VST3 now. So for things like templates, and presets stored in DAW format, autmap template etc. or just saved tracks - I don't really want to have to replace/redo those later.
