Did a quick compare between Nembrini, Lancaster, and the Copper model in Amplitube (not the Brian May)...Nembrini sounded the best by far IMO, even when using the same Ownhammer impulses on all 3. I really find the Lancaster harsh and too bright IMO. It was like a thin, harsher version of the Nembrini - you could here there was a shared type of heritage there, but the Lancaster was just brighter in the wrong places. It's even more pronounced with the default cabinets of each. The IK version just seriously lacked drive, but would be good for cleaner tones. Just my two cents. Wish I spent more time demoing this and comparing first, but it was only $25 and I may still get some use out of it with some post-EQ.

Ah well, what you're probably seeing as faults, I'm seeing as the major plus point. Not really interested in the distorted sounds, plenty of other amp sims for those (people always bang on about Brian May. I've never liked Queen.. ), but in the capacity to do a great jangly chiming sound for the 12 string, in the Byrds, Smiths etc stylee. Very few amp sims I've tried can do it with any great shakes. The Plug and Mix 'Magic Queen' strangely is one, and this is another. The Amplitube 'Copper', whilst being a nice amp sim of itself can't really do the chiming properly, and I remember when I tried the Nembrini, that was the same.

I’ve got a crap Agile twelve string. Super dark sounding pickups. Should try it with Lancaster. Might be exactly what that guitar needs.

Totally agree; brighter the better for me. Easier to mix, less clutter in the low/mids, plus I can use SG (for example) for cleaner stuff than I usually would. Jazzmaster sounds fab through it.
