Haha…no, I work for a non-music tech company. Roland is pretty much on par with Korg in terms of software incompetence. They're better at UI, but Roland Cloud's infuriatingly bad authorization system that randomly fails all the time is worse than anything Korg has ever done. Can't say I've ever used any Yamaha software.

When I launch my Software Pass it's still on v1.1.3 and doesn't prompt to update itself. Did you have to manually download v1.1.7 from Korg directly?

Edit: Ended up doing it manually from https://id.korg.com/
One little quirk - the download links in Chrome did nothing for me when I clicked on them for some reason, ended up having to use Edge

A lot of us had problems with 1.1.3 not updating itself. It seems to work better with the newer versions, though. And if it doesn't, at least you now know what to do. :wink:

Here's some of my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/shadowsoflife. If you hear something you like, I'm looking for collaborators.

Yeah cheers. Oh man I've got work starting in ten minutes and I just discovered the St Trem EP preset in Triton Extreme is pretty good approximation of the sound JPJ used on Zep's No Quarter,

Nice! Everything works here also. :tu:

Yes, everything seems to be working now. :clap:

If you're apparently stuck with an earlier version of KSP, even though you're sure you have installed 1.1.7, try doing a full uninstall/reinstall of the Software Pass, not just a modify/repair/whatever the 1.1.7 installer prompts you to do.

It won't remove your licenses and at first start you probably won't even need to login again.

Oh and Triton Extreme finally shows up as installed :party:

EDIT: RE: the download buttons not working with Chrome, if you don't want to use a different browser, you can right click on a button, copy the link from there, and then paste it into another Chrome tab.
That seemed to do the trick for me.

Well, lucky you but it still does not work for me.

First I downloaded all synths and installed the latest versions.

Then I uninstalled Software Pass, re-installed 1.1.7 and... it is still broken. The synths that first came with V2 still show up as their old versions and the new V3 synths are showing up as "uninstalled".

So I officially give up on Software Pass (except for registering products).

Thanks for the heads up.

Note for Mac users: the Mac version of Korg Pass is still at 1.1.6 (I just checked), and should show the new plugin updates.

@Arashi
and were clickable in a step during installation :P

@mountainmaster
didn´t understand logical your way you do it, maybe the failure happens through this
why not unsinstall all Korg-things, install Pass1.1.7 and let then this tool install your things?
or is this way not longer possible with 1.1.7? I won´t check it personal, ´cause everything fine here, now

Unless this is new in 1.1.7, Software Pass does not actually install anything. It only downloads the installers as zip files. Then you have to install them manually.

Works the same as before.

I like to expand into folders before installing anything, but you can probably run the installers directly from in the zip file
