How do I enable the Patchmix Effects again?
Just installed a new cpu and it killed my EMu 1212m but got it working again with the great install guide on here.
Always forget how to install the fx though duh.

Files are contained in your PMapp _x_x.exe install file(depending on what version is installed) You can open it with winrar and locate bin.cab file which contains 4 folders, the last one (XP in the name) contains .dll files and one folder which you copy in your plugins folder and also check xx:\Program Files (x86)\Creative Professional\E-MU PatchMix DSP\VST , that folder should contain those same dll.files and that one folder

Sorry I didn't reply to your post for a long time. Is there a possibility to install a patch or any possibility to fix this memory problem?yuk wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 5:00 pm It is a well known issue that E-MU WDM driver cannot record audio on a PC with 4GB or more of memory installed. This issue can be avoided by using a virtual mixer such as the VOICEMEETER Virtual Audio Mixer.

Another workaround is to use the Kx Driver instead of E-MU driver.

Creative no longer supports the E-MU audio interfaces, but they also haven't been released to Open Source. So there is no chance a "patch" will be issued by Creative -- and anything you find on the Interwebz should be considered suspect. Is there a reason you're not using ASIO or even WASAPI? ASIO is much more efficient than WDM (or WASAPI), but even WASAPI is more efficient than WDM.tobra wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 7:00 pmSorry I didn't reply to your post for a long time. Hello there, did you already update to
"WINDOWS 21H1"?
Does the update mess up the current Emu Driver installation?!
where are my guinea pigs at not me this time^^

Yes, I know there is no more support. I guess there is at least a little hope. I use ASIO mode but I also need WDM mode. Some programs only use WDM and sometimes I activate a game and communicate with people during the game. That’s why I need WDM to be able to communicate. Thank you for your response.planetearth wrote: ↑Thu May 27, 2021 1:43 amCreative no longer supports the E-MU audio interfaces, but they also haven't been released to Open Source. Does anybody know where on earth I could find one of those multi-pin ribbon cables that these use to connect the two interfaces? I know they look like floppy disk cables but everyone I have read that tried those found that they don't work.
Someone gave my the entire 1212m but is missing that cable.

^ I looked at the one I have - it's a "34 pin ribbon cable." I had that custom made a while back at a local electronics supplier place (that's no longer there). I just searched amazon and the first hit (uxcell) looks like it'd work, though it's a little long. There's other options I see, too...

However, WDM output recording is not available, so I purchased a separate SFDIF input/output card for $30 and connected it.
So, I was able to do WDM streaming as well.

I have my 1820m Audio Dock working well with my 64 bit host, but does anyone know how to get it work with a 32-bit host? Would love to set this up with all my old 32-bit plugins and Live 8.
