Hello everyone.
I bought Arturia KeyStep midi keyboard and realized that its pitch bend wheel/touch screen doesn’t work although mod wheel/touch screen works quite good. Should I return the product or this is a software problem can be solved?
I watched some videos on YouTube and saw that its pitch bend wheel/touch screen works very well on Ipad.
Can you please enlighten me?

Hi, I have a KeyStep 37 that I bought a week ago (new Black Edition), I have no issues with the pitch or mod strips.
If you’ve done a firmware upgrade (assuming latest version is out of date) & a factory reset & problem still remains, it’s probably a hardware fault.
That all said, from your post it looks like you’re using an iPad - I found my KeyStep 37 didn’t appear to play nice with my iPad Pro. I normally use it with my main PC setup, but out of curiosity tried it with my iPad using a camera connector. It would only power up when the camera connector was fed with mains power, & even then it was a little temperamental (in that sometimes it wouldn’t power up at all, other times it would power up but nothing would work). It seemed a little random & I gave up in the end as I didn’t need it to work with my iPad. Other mini keyboards I’ve tried are fine with iPad.
(As an aside, I currently use an M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini with my mobile iPad set-up - that also requires mains power into the iPad camera connector, as did my previous AKAI MPK Mk3. They both worked fine though. I used to also own an Arturia MiniLab & that worked OK with just iPad power so is a good option if you need a truly portable iPad rig).
Hence it could be a simple iPad/power isssue. You could try powering it using a DC supply? Or have you got a PC to try?
My KeyStep 37 was faulty out of the box (one of the knobs wouldn’t work) & the retailer swapped it. I’d also contacted Arturia & they indicated they would also ship out a replacement if the retailer wouldn’t help.
