You‘d better do a wavelet transform for that… ; - )
I wonder if those Midi voicing would work on a real player piano like Conlon Nancarrow was using. Would make an even more impressive performance…

Hey Tj, thanks for the pointer to Wavelets. I have grapsed the FFT stuff to some extend (we had to programm one while I studied computer science) but I wasn't able to find a "Wavelets for dummies". The wikipedia article about it is full of maths. I need bit more intuitive introduction to that topic... Because I would love to give it a try and I have already found that here's some ready made libs for instance in python.

To the rest of the communiy: Sorry for continuing off topic here. But it's all about using technology in a creative manner.

Is the song with sampled vocals still online so I can hear it? What about any of these patches using sampling? Is the MSEG so filled with points it's unreadable? Does it affect performance of the plugin?

.......

I'm almost done with my track. I finally made a template so that I can load a bunch of the same synth, each with a different drum sound patch, and have each one play only when hitting a specific note or pad on my midi controller. This was my main impediment to joining these challenges, I didn't have a good drum workflow. Usually I would program drums in a drum machine, then copy the midi to my synth drum tracks, but then the sound completely changes, which is a bummer.

Now I just need to figure out which DAW I have that I want to use for these challenges, since the built in fx are much better in certain DAWs. If I could find a good free reverb this would be less of a problem, but the reverbs in Studio One suck (you can get *okay* longer verbs out of roomverb with a LOT of tweaking) and the TAL one isn't much better. I don't pay too much attention to freeware, are there some good reverbs?

mm... I have a provocative thought, is it for the vacations are over now or for the "standard" synth in this OSC month, that we'll have so many more entries this month than the past two ones?

Hi ,
It's a pleasure to hear your music here too. :phones:
This TAL synthesizer seemed simple enough and user-friendly enough for me to try to put together a song with it. :)
I wouldn't have thought this free plugin sounds that good. Although my song is not like that, but I like the 80’s feeling that comes from it.
