Maybe it is time again to check out eXT again.
But the question about abondonware is a good one.
Can anyone shed some light on it ?

Copyright persists for 70 years after the copyright-holder's death. I doubt there's very many PC applications that fall into this category.

It seems Jo is working in something else, I want to believe to be a Muzys follow-on; don't think he will ditch Muzys' best features, so all we have to do is (hardly) wait.
For the next future I'll keep working with Muzys, because was unable to find a good replacement so far.
To share a dead piece of software? It's not legal, alright, but I don't believe someone will run after you. Is it ethical? Now it´s another matter, between you and your conscience, IMO. Anyway I have to say that the way Jo behaved in this case can lead to turn the sharing option into a big temptation.

Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

Muzys in its current incarnation may be no more, but I believe there will be a resultant product.

FWIW, if I could have gotten my hands on a copy of Muzys (legal or otherwise) this time last year, I'd probably still be in the Muzys camp -- and buying whatever Jo offered next. Now that I've moved on, I'll probably never go back.
I'd still love to use Muzynth in my other hosts...
