I see that many people are complaining about the lack of a mixer.
Well here is a solution for you

They have a basic mixer plug for tracktion with send effects

after moving away from logic i was poised to buy sonar; that was my next move, but then i found tracktion and decided it was all i really needed

Jens, you can't just say that a mixer is a "must" without qualifying it.

Or, you can, but I won't buy it.

SOMEHOW, through black magic or voodoo or breaking all applicable laws of human instinct and universal physics, I have managed to make complete songs without a separate mixer....

So I don't see how it's a "must". There are many many more flexible ways of doing sends and groupings already in T1, though I admit that it's an area that's not completely polished yet. There's room for improvement still; however, by no means is a mixer a must.

Sometimes it takes a bit of ingenuity, and other times it takes 3rd party (free) applications to do; however, all things are possible.... especially in a modular routing environment.

Does the lack of a proper mixer alone tip the balance between using Tracktion and not using it? I'd be awfully surprised if it did. Anyway, I prefer Tracktion's one-window, in-place-editing, mixerless GUI, so I use it. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't use it. Simple as that, really.

In general, I'd rather spend time finding one perfect program for a specific purpose than configuring something that general purpose. Surely you can understand that.

Mixer.... Schmixer...all I want is the keyfile...I have waited patiently for three days!!!

Hi have you tried to click the Create Authorization button?
I did´nt see it at first so i was also waiting for it.
And remember to put in your machine number before authorization

Sounds like the keyfile is being eaten on its' way to your inbox then.

I had a new keyfile sent last night as I needed to install T on my wife's computer (doing some documentation stuff and she has office apps). The keyfile came in under five minutes.

Either Mackie's servers don't like your email address, or your ISP/spam filters don't like Mackie.

Try a different account.
