Always had an eye on MDynamicEQ. PB is offering a free copy for any purchase – this is nice. What now stops me to get it is a rule I have. I do not buy anything for no reason and I do not want to buy something I'm not convinced I'll use it.

I hoped the new Audio Damage Delay would be offered at PB but no.
I have already the AbberantDSP bundle which I like alot.

Well in this situation it's hard to get MDynamicEQ for free
I'm willing to spend €20 for a purchase.
What would you buy? What can you suggest from PB? Please no ilok or any other intrusive CP

I don't think I'm that fond of anything listed as on sale at their site for under your stated price of 20. Carbon Electra is cool but you'll probably be able to get that as a free plugin If you need a drum sequencer or euclidean sequencer, Hy-Plugins RPE2 is really cool but slightly above your price.

You can probably find something good from iZotope, their stuff is always on sale. They seem to be pivoting into a subscription model focus though, where non-subscription users don't get certain things, which makes me hesitant to buy their stuff.

Hahaha. Somewhat true. But what keeps me away is the rather high price. €69 is too much for me. If eternal madness discount kicks in it's still €35. I'm willing to spend €20
I have NOVA GE but would like to have a "lightweight" DynEQ at hand.

I simply don't want to buy an alibi product to get MDynEQ...

MDynamicEQ does not " weigh less " than NovaGE
But the free Nova does

So that's not a reason
Are you sure? The last time I tested cpu usage of Nova GE (used it for mastering all time) it was higher as MDynEQ. I think I tested 4x oversampling vs. musical precise. But it's some time ago so my mind may play tricks on me :D

I'd recommend the Kilohearts Nonlinear Filter https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... ter-Snapin for only $9.99, can be used as normal VST as well as a snapin within their own systems. I own this myself and would say its well worth that small price, plus you get your MDynamicEQ.

Besides that, which is maybe the best value I can see, is the Cherry Audio Polymode for $19.99, don't own it myself. Air Music Technology VSTs going for $10 a piece if you don't already have them. InstaChord by W.A Production looks interesting for $14.99, so much so I just bought it now and got the MDynamicEQ with it.

I can see quite a range of things that would interest me for under $20.

Nothing for me it seems. Well it's fine :D Michael L ís probably right and I'm fine with NovaGE :D Thanks for helping out while GAS-ing :D

I'd adjust my thinking; buy the cheapest thing you can find (audio thing kontakt instrument or whatever) and give that serial away on the sale forum. Then you've paid ~$5 for dynamic eq and accumulated no unwanted plugs. Everyone's happy.

Just be aware that along with your MDynamicEQ plugin you'll get every support file for every one of their plugins installed as well:

Melda 1.png
Melda 2.png

Over 3200 files and 460 megs, the vast majority of which have nothing to do with your MDynamicEQ.

I took advantage of the Plugin Boutique offer and MDynamicEQ is a nice EQ just be aware she comes with a ton of bloat if drive space is an issue or you wish to keep your studio computer free of clutter.

For a few bucks more you can buy the Claps, Stomps and Snaps Bundle from Boz Digital.

I bought the Scaler 2 Modulation Masterclass this time. No plugin for me today (only the Melda EQ).

Or buy one of the glitchmachines samplepacks (Vulcan or Paralax iirc). I use their samples regulary as my source sounds in my granular synths.

HaHaHa. Yes. I know. I have MGranular and MMultiAnalyzer.
I keep my system tidy by installing everything in a Sandbox and then putting the files into place where I want, symlink if necessary, delete unnecessary files. It took maybe five minutes more then "normal" install but I swallow this bug. I do this with almost every software. For some installers like the Melda one I made a script which automates some steps. But I was also too lazy to delete every *.xml file so the the Melda folder is still ~280mb. To be fair: the pluginkernel by Melda is almost 70mb so it's not that bad. The distribution of files could be better though.

How often do you really use dynamic EQ that Nova wouldn't do the job due to CPU? I'm really not understanding the need for MDynamicEQ at all here. I just got it as a freebie, checked it out for two seconds, and decided that the GUI/workflow was not for me (all the dynamics controls are buried on another screen). Not something I'd pay for. I'll stick to Nova. Even the free one would be better IMO. Dynamic EQ isn't something one would normally stick on every channel so even if TDR used a bit more CPU it shouldn't be a dealbreaker.

I had the same problem as you a few weeks ago and eventually settled on Punch Evolved by Minimal System Group for £3.95. It's a versatile 1176 type compressor. Looks like all their plugins are still on sale - https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufact ... stem-Group
