it looks really cool the new version because the old gui is what put me off it a bit.

when will we get to try the new version? ive got the latest edition of computer music on filo silo and its not in there(only the old version)
why are they taking so long it was updated a while ago?

just seeing if anyone from computer music in on here thank you.

I believe that the cm Plug-ins are one-off arrangements between the developer and cm. In my experience, very few get updated.

Having said that it would be good if u-he could offer an update to cm, especially as one of the Masterclass series is using ZebraCM extensively.

CM already have the requisite assets from u-he, there's not much else they can do to move things along.

you're probably better off asking some place someone from CM might actually see, like on their most recent ZebraCM tutorial on their YT channel.

it was delivered a few weeks back (if the update announcement was around the time of delivery) magazines will be a couple of months ahead, except for news pages.
probably a few more tutorials using the older one, still to upload, will most likely be a few months i guess, till the first tutorial with the new features and gui, and then it will be released.

just guessing, i know nothing!

In one of the other threads someone had reached out to CM on this very topic and the answer from the CM editor or whoever was basically: 'it will take a few issues for it to appear, and you'll need to buy a new issue to get the update, but it will be worth it.'

The magazine industry? Struggling? Where have you been the last 15 years? Of course they are!

It's kind of sh*t that people will complain about spending $5 to support a magazine that has to compete with free blogs, internet forums, developer freebies (not to mention illegal downloads), and YouTube creators, while still managing to put out lots of content and give out lots of freebies with that $5 price of entry for a digital magazine. They're under no obligation to give anyone free updates for life and running a magazine is a costly endeavor. For all I know, they're probably losing money or were forced to scale back considerably.

You'll miss those great CM freebies (EDIT: "magware") when they're gone. Pay the $5.

I haven't bought CM Magazine for donkeys, I might get one just to see whats new on the disk.

I can only emphasize what Funkybot's Evil Twin said.

My first thought was they put it in 300 jubilee. Excited what they will give away with that one;)

Got in contact with CM and they said probably it'll be issue 302 for the new ZebraCM. Can't await...

The old GUI is really stone age and distracting what kept me from using more often. Never thought there would be an update anymore after 10+ years of nothing... Considered buying the full Zebra - interested in Hans Zimmer "The Dark Zebra" too. Anyone tested?

How else are they going to make sure that you own the magazine?

Apart from discussing about 4 € here.

Yes, and ZebraCM sounds will work in the full versions. The number of free example sounds for Zebra is huge, there are many excellent youtube tutorial videos, for the many capabilities that might otherwise be considered the territory of experts-only, and The Hans Zimmer version adds a lot of custom sounds using the updatde content, in a very nice new gui, and I think qualifies you for a special buy-in price on Zebra 3 :hyper:
