It´s quite sad because it´s such a cool plugin. But it just constantly crashes (both of my Macs - Catalina & Big Sur)m-ac wrote: Sun Aug 22, 2021 1:06 pm Hello? Just a little bump incase you forgot you have a plugin which doesn't work properly which you said would get fixed.

Glad I never bought this. I would be so frustrated by now.

It doesn't feel too soon for me personally to consider this heading toward the abandonware pile, which is a major shame as it had a lot to like in terms of what it can do to the sound. Man, what a bummer. Love to be shown I am wrong, dev, support your product as it deserves pretty please.

Still running fine on my rig. Hasn't crashed once. Also it was cheap as hell. If you want something rock solid then cough up the money for speakerphone.

Typically, these days, I buy plugins for what they are when they are released, not for what they might become. But my situation is in a different segment than others: I am using a legacy 64 bit mac system with Reaper and I am happy to NOT update hardware anytime soon. So I can demo a plugin and get a good sense of its value to me. Then I balance all the other variables in: can I even demo it, if not is there a good 100% return policy, does it work befitting its value to me, how redundant is it to my other tools, do they allow license transfers (I usually dont buy NFR software), is there any positive or negative sign in their track record, what is their reputation, etc etc. Unfortunately I have learned, for myself, that I have to take into consideration the unique mix of characteristics of each dev/company/product and make a purchase decision that way.
For me, with Vybz, I am generally happy with the status quo. But from experience, when a dev is communicative here and then stops, its not possible to determine why as it can be many things including just not wanting to be on the forum anymore (I dont blame them). If you can't rationalize it and it still upset you, add the issue to your buying decision the next time around. keep doing it until you have a good working evaluation system OR don't and accept the risk of jumping in without thinking it through. EIther way, enjoy it... while you can.

The point at which the dev makes a bunch of promises about support and then fails to follow through is the point at which, whatever your feelings on its price, there's seemingly a problem with the dev's relationship to his customers. If your overall idea is buyer beware, well, yeah, I guess, but buyer also can try to at least minimally keep folks accountable after they've taken money and made claims about what they're going to do to fix this or that. I'd counter that if it doesn't bother you, or isn't having problems for you, that's fine, but it isn't a reason not to raise an eyebrow at the way this situation has unfolded.
They have continued to offer products for sale in bundles on various sites and promoted these sales on their facebook this whole time. Including Vybz, of course. I only mention that to note that if there's some critical problem at thenatan, it hasn't stopped their business seemingly as usual. Of course there could be more going on behind the scenes, but a little communication and consistent follow-through sure goes a long way.
Edit: More I think about it the sillier it seems telling me to buy Speakerphone if I don't like being told twice since March that they were working on big things for this plugin and not having them materialize yet. I think folks can expect to get support even without spending $495 for a plugin, especially when it has been said to be coming soon (for a while). This is... acting kind of like folks are griping about not getting support for freeware products. Not so, friends. And by the way I have zero hard feelings toward thenatan, I'd be pretty happy to have a little communication followed by an actual release, personally

There will be devs that keep on working on their products and communicate regularily with the user community.
.
. (and everything in between)
.
There will be devs that release a plugins, sell it, and then disappear with out a trace.
Totally understandable for anyone who is upset about the worse case scenarios. Your approach is your own. I am just offering a suggestion to accept the range of possibilities as there is always this risk with any kind of purchase. But if you want to be upset, post about your grievances, etc thats totally fine! There are just other ways to get over and on with it that I am suggesting you consider. Everyone has a different feeling about it, I am just sharing mine to give a different perspective that might be useful. If not, you can ignore me of course.

I don't like ignoring people if I can help it but I would hope that we don't need to bicker on your opinion of us trying to get in touch with the developer any further, you've made it pretty clear man, this is not necessarily what you would do but I'm gonna keep on trying until I personally decide it's pointless and I am not looking for advice on that.
I feel certain that everyone who is yet attempting to get some support probably understands by now that it may not happen, may just have to move on in the end.

Back on sale for same as intro price, though their site has a BF sale banner saying 75% off the entire store. 75% off would be $10 less than price it shows.
I'm not on Logic so the crashing is less of a concern for me, but who can trust a company that screws up the math on their own discounts?

Let me understand : they made mistake in pricing and now you suggest they are untrustworthy? Doesn't sound like you notified them either. Some people's kids... *shakes head*nonstatic wrote: Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:40 pm Back on sale for same as intro price, though their site has a BF sale banner saying 75% off the entire store. 75% off would be $10 less than price it shows.I'm not on Logic so the crashing is less of a concern for me, but who can trust a company that screws up the math on their own discounts?

I did, a few days ago in a subreddit where they directly posted the sale to begin with, amongst complaints from others about not fixing the plugin. All ignored, but that's fine.
