Change the speed of the playhead in Studio One?

Just wondering if anyone knows this: When I move the playhead in Studio One with the dedicated forward/backward buttons on my MIDI controller, the playhead is going freaking nuts in terms of speed. It's way too fast. In Cubase AI, on the other hand, the speed is fine.
Is there any way to change that behavior in Studio One? Doesn't that drive people nuts? Never read anything about it... it's totally uncontrollable using the transport controls of your MIDI keyboard.

Most likely a driver or template issue. Check the forum for your controller.

I don't use a controller, just the keyboard.

This has a been an issue for quite some time in S1 with the forward and rewind commands. They act kind of like a tape rewind and forward function so they move quite fast. It’s not a controller issue it’s how S1 was designed.
When I used to have my old Axiom I had to re-assign the forward and rewind buttons to another function to avoid the issue. I believe it’s the move cursor function. However if you use the HUI protocol like my current controller, well I haven’t figured out how to custom map buttons on that yet.

I mostly use the mouse to go directly to the point I want to start from. Sometimes I use the big knob/dial knob that exist in my NI KK 32m, keylab mk ii and MODX (in Remote mode). I never use forward/backwards buttons as they are not reliable as you discovered.
Another workflow is to add markers through out your song and then move between them with shortcut keys.

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Thanks guys. I kind of figured that that's how it was designed. One of those small niggles really.
I will just not use those controls on the keyboard. Bit of a shame, because, you know, if you have those functions, they should work in a decent way, but, not the end of the world.
